Capital Pride in Washington
Venue: Various locations. The parade takes place in the area around Dupont Circle and the festival takes place in the area around Pennsylvania Avenue
The biggest celebration of gay and lesbian identities in the city, the annual Capital Pride is a week-long event that is open to everyone. The Pride includes educational, civic and social events, but the highlights of the celebrations is the parade and street festival, which take place in the city on the final weekend of Pride week
