Each year, homeowners, curators, and historians in and around Philadelphia open their doors to visitors offering the opportunity to take a glimpse at some of the city’s architectural and historical treasures that are normally closed to the public. From the grand homes of the affluent Society Hill to old 18th-century storehouses and factories, visitors are able to look inside some of the region’s many great homes and buildings whilst learning about their history, origins and quirky secrets
