Venue: Streets of Detroit. Parade starts Woodward Avenue in Central Detroit
First held back in 1924 to great acclaim, the parade has become one of Detroit’s biggest and best-loved events of the year. Televised across America, the parade lives up to its name as America’s Thanksgiving Parade as each year it is watched on television by an audience of several million and is attended by huge crowds from across the state. In addition to the parade, visitors can also take part in the annual Turkey Trot – Michigan's largest 10km (6.2 miles) run, the Giant Annual Balloon Wash, and the rather grand affair of the Hob Nobble Gobble black-tie fundraiser
