Formerly known as the Detroit-Montreux Jazz Festival until it changed its name in 2000, Detroit International Jazz Festival is one of the biggest free music events in North America that each year attracts thousands of music fans. Held over the Labour Day weekend, visitors to the festival can take their pick from a line-up that includes over 100 bands each year ranging from household names through to new and emerging talents.
