Held in a picturesque location on the banks of a mile-long stretch of the Charles River, this is fun day out for young and old alike. The festival celebrates the city’s cultural diversity through a busy programme that includes music, dance, performance art, art exhibitions, a handicrafts bazaar and food and drink stalls. Performances take place each hour on two separate stages with musical styles covering everything from jazz and blues to gospel and world music. There’s also an interactive children’s area with workshops, art classes and play areas. The festival is produced by the Cambridge Arts Council and is free for all to attend
