A chance for locals and visitors alike to don their dancing shoes and learn a few steps, the annual 11-week Chicago SummerDance Festival is a series of one-hour dance classes followed by a two-hour musical performance giving visitors ample chance to try out their new moves. The classes and performances take place, weather permitting, in the open-air dance floor in the Spirit of Music Garden in Grant Park with musical styles covering everything from classical country and blues to big band and ballroom
