Held in Grant Park each summer, the Chicago Country Music Festival treats visitors to a series of free performances ranging from classic country through to modern hybrid versions. And coinciding with the “Taste of Chicago” festival, the event serves up far more than just music with many of the city’s top restaurants and eateries providing great menus for the hungry audiences. First held in 1991 with around 40,000 spectators, the event has grown to become one of the city’s biggest events and it now attracts in excess of 600,000 visitors every year
