Sundance Cinemas 608 Grand Opening!
Madison is the first city to host a Sundance Cinemas complex and the grand opening is this weekend.
Earlier this week Sundance Cinemas 608 hosted three private fundraising events for area arts, environmental, and charitable organizations.
Friday, May 11 the theater is open to the public with tons of family friendly events at the Hilldale Mall where the theater is housed.
Sundance Cinemas 608 boasts 6 stadium-seating auditoriums with stereo surround sound. Reserved seating will be available for every show.
Caffe 608 will serve San Francisco-based Peet's Coffees and Teas, breakfast items and sandwiches --- open 6a.m. through late night.
Bar Bistro 608 is a full service bar and restaurant.
The Rooftop is designed to be a seasonal gathering spot serving drinks and appetizers.
And the 608 Gallery will sell Sundance logo items along with work from local artists.
Sadly, Robert Redford will not be in Madison for the Grand Opening events. However, he has promised Melanie Conklin of the Wisconsin State Journal that he will visit in the near future.
What movies will the cinema be featuring? Well, I'm still trying to figure that out. The Sundance Cinemas website www.sundancecinemas.com seems to be missing that information. But as soon as I find out, I'll post it here.
