Inn at Port Ludlow

07-spring-101.JPG
Ludlow Bay in Puget Sound was named for a naval officer that died in the war of 1812.  Located on a point of land on the site of an old lumber mill stands a 37 room Inn with award winning Golf and a scenic year-round 300 slip Marina, a master planned residential community, two restaurants all incorporated in the Resort at Port Ludlow

An hour or so from Seattle and maybe a ferry ride gets you to this pristine area near the Hood Canal bridge and puts you in a good position for day trips to Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park, Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, Dungeness Spit - a National Wildlife Refuge, a 150 acre garden and woodland reserve called Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, a Scandinavian style village called Poulsbo or Port Townsend for shopping.

This 14-year-old Inn is beautiful and built with a timeless design; guest rooms with Jacuzzi tubs are nicely decorated.  Two restaurants, Harbormaster on grounds and Fireside in the Inn only open til 9pm.  Eat in Kingston if you are coming late at the Filling Station.

As with so many formerly pristine areas, we consider ourselves fortunate to have been to Port Ludlow before the resort was built. Try the following link if the one above doesn't work www.portludlowresort.com/
