Buckwheat Zyedeco at the Triple Door
This is a past tense review. But I must say those of us who attended Buckwheat (Stanley Dural Jr's) Zyedeco this July 12 at The Triple Door will never be the same.
The music is infectious, intoxicating, toe-tapping, sing along, gyrating, down-home Louisiana Cajun fun.
I've described the Triple Door at 2nd & Union as "Heaven's Waiting Room." Lord, I'm ready to go!
The band was tight, the audience dancing was a sight and the impromptu events that occurred with the children performing and the show going long past the deadline made it a very special experience.
If you're a fan of the Hammond 3, Leslie speaker, washboard, tight blues guitar and the charisma packed into Buckwheat with his accordian and vocals, don't miss his next visit to the Emerald City.
Showcasing his first studio album in eight years. My take, with the touring, Katrina, playing at both Bill Clinton inaugurations, he's just been too busy.

And, pick up a copy, only if you like upbeat, toe-tapping music at Buckwheat's website: www.buckwheatzyedeco.com Thanks mom, for turning me on to Zyedeco music. She joined me for a belated 75th birthday celebration there.
