Places and What I Wanted to Marry*:

These are in no particular order - just whatever you're craving.

1) Specialty's Bakery & Café

U. Village, next to the Gap

OR 1023 3rd Ave (downtown)

*Whatever cookies have just come out of the oven.  You once left a Roller Derby event early, to get to Specialty's in U. Village before it closed.  Your friends were somewhat appalled.  But those are some GU-HUUUUD cookies, and you very clearly have a cookie problem.

2)  Metropolitan Market/bakery section

2320 42nd Ave SW (West Seattle)

OR

1908 Queen Anne Ave N. (Queen Anne)

*No Bake cookies - peanut butter, oatmeal, chocolate - you get three, to go, and try to only eat one on the way home.  Good luck.

3)  The Dilettante on Broadway

416 Broadway Ave E (Capitol Hill)

*The Dilettante Frappe--a mix of iced milk and Ephemere Sauce--is a specialty of the house.

4)  Simply Desserts

3421 Fremont Ave N.

*Carrot Cake - eat your vegetables!

5)  Macrina Bakery

2408 1st Avenue (Belltown)

615 West McGraw Street (Queen Anne)

19603 Vashon Hwy. SW (V'shawn)

*Lemon poppyseed cake - Layered with vanilla scented mascarpone cream & seasonal fruit. Frosted with a lemon- cream cheese butter cream - makes you pucker just thinking about it.

6)  Trophy Cupcakes

1815 N. 45th St. (Wallingford Center)

*Red Velvet cupcake - but you must try the Chai and triple chocolate as well.  Your extra-stomach implant surgery is scheduled for next week.

7)  Starbucks

Everywhere

*Oat Fudge Bar - since these have oatmeal, they can technically be breakfast.

8)  See's Candies

1518 4th Ave - Downtown (or a squillion other locations)

*Maple cream chocolates - you can fill up an entire box with these.  Box, bedspread, whatever.

9)  Cow Chip Cookies

102A 1st Ave. S. - Pioneer Square

16481 NE 74th St. - Redmond

418 Ramsay Way #103 - Kent

*Milk Chocolate chip w/walnuts - you used to be able to get these at the Mariner's games...what happened there?

10)  Holly's Desserts

1907 10th Ave W (Queen Anne)

*Macaroons - if they are out, ask nicely and they will make another batch right there.  It takes about 20 minutes.  They're worth the wait.  And coconut is a fruit, right?
