Cherry Blossom Festival: Sakura Matsuri Festival
On Saturday, April 12, immediately following the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, is the 48th Annual Japanese Street Festival Sakura Matsuri. It’s the largest one-day exhibition of Japanese culture in the country and stretches for six blocks from the White House to the FBI Headquarters.
From sushi to origami, from karate to sake, from Anime and manga to J-POP music, the Japan-America Society of Washington, D.C. organized more than 20 vendors of Japanese cuisine, beer gardens, exhibitors of Japanese arts and products, and live performances on three stages.
