Institute for the Arts



Fairfax County Public School's Institute for the Arts will be held July 9 - August 2, 8:00 am - 1:30 pm at Robinson Secondary School.

Students in grades 6-11 participate in programs in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. Some courses require auditions or portfolio reviews for placement.

July 4th Fireworks Spectacular



Celebrate the U.S. at the annual festival of community at Lake Fairfax Park. Bring a picnic and thrill to the "rockets' redglare"of pyrotechnics in a beautiful park setting. The Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole is sure to be a popular destination on this summer holiday, so come early and bring your bathing suit.

Fireworks begin around 9:15 pm, and food vendors will be on site.

July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza



Join friends and neighbors beginning at 12:00 pm at Lee District Park as we honor our great nation and celebrate freedom with an event that has become a community tradition.

The all-day event will include live music, carousel rides,  children's entertainment, and international food, with the excitement of fireworks beginning around 9:00 pm to cap off the evening.
