When The San Antonio Spurs lost the first round of the 2009 Playoffs to the Dallas Mavericks, I and hundreds of Spurs fans were disappointed their city would not see another championship year.
And about two weeks later, I began to have basketball withdrawals. If you are also longing for some ‘in your city basketball,’ come and see the San Antonio Silver Stars in action.
Although they were beaten by the Detroit Shock in the WNBA’s 2008 Finals, the Silver Stars are a great basketball team.
And if you are in San Antonio around the middle of June 2009 or this year, come see the San Antonio Silver Stars take on the New York Liberty. This game is on June 13th and game time is 7:00 PM.
