The Chili Queens Celebration
Although most people would rather consume a bowl of this on a cool Spring or Winter’s day, it is one dish that is taken seriously by those who have had some kind of history with it.
Take, for example the women who sold it in the early half of the year 1900 at Military Plaza in San Antonio. And to pay respects to such noteables, San Antonio is celebrating this as it does every year. Titled The Return of the Chili Queens, it will be a fun event.
So if you happen to be in the Alamo City the week of May 24th until the 26th 2008, and you like Chili, be sure to check this out. It is free and open to the public.
In addition, there will be lots to eat and drink, live music and other forms of entertainment. And since I also happen to like Chili, yours truly might even show up at this festive event. So come on and enjoy some Chili.
