Enjoy Tasty Tex-Mex At Alamo Cafe
San Antonio is famous for its Tex-Mex. There are hundreds of places to choose from, but Alamo Cafe is definitely in the top ten for best all around Mexican cuisine. Nothing else comes close to eating authentic San Antonio Tex-Mex like dining at an Alamo-inspired restaurant.
Walking into the restaurant is like stepping into a Mexican courtyard. The ceiling resembles a sky that constantly changes colors. While waiting for your table, you can watch the ceiling turn a bright blue to a reddish shade similar to the sky in the evening. It's almost like you are watching the day pass by.
At Alamo Cafe you can enjoy warm tortillas, beans and mouth-watering enchiladas. One of my favorites is the Chili Relleno. The fajitas are also a great dish to try. The Alamo Cafe is located on Hwy 281 on the northbound access road about 1/4 mile from Bitters Road. As they say in Mexico, Buen Provecho!
