Art & Culture for FREE

Learn something for free today! The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (1001 Bissonnett) is free until 9pm. There's some pretty interesting pieces on exhibit: photographs of the Great Wall of China (did you know it's the only natural wonder in the world that can be seen from space); photography on war; abstract paintings, drawings and posters from Brazilian artists; an anime display I've been trying to decipher for the last past two months and lots of Asian contemporary art.

If eclectic art isn't what you're in the mood for today, check out one of the classic films on view tomorrow. Showing will be Roman Polanski's Knife in the Water. A film about a bored wealthy couple who invites a handsome young lad onto their sailboat. Were they for real?! Can you say drama, drama, and oh drama? Nonetheless, visit the museum's website for more info.
