Art, Coffee, & DJs at MFA
Art, coffee, DJs, and beautiful people in one spot? This Saturday Mixed Media Music Series at the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston (5001 Main St) is the place to be. I've bartended at several of these events in the past, and they're so much fun!
The featured exhibition, RED HOT - Asian Art Today from the Chaney Family Collection showcases the new wave of art centers in Japan, China, South Korea, and Vietnam, as well as spots in the U.S. and Europe. The main focus is Asian contemporary art.
Ceeplus Bad Knives, the resident event dj will spin among several other DJs--Kid Koala and Yppah from Ninja Tune Records, and John the 3rd + Nectarine will spin House sets. The event is FREE for MFAH members however non-members pay $15, and students with a valid I.D. pay $10. Sorry kiddies, must be 18 and over.
The event starts at eight however, don't be fashionably-late because by 10 o'clock the place is jam-packed. I'll be bartending so I'll see ya there!
