Some of you may have seen him recite his work on Russell Simmon's Def Poetry Jam, others may have been following his works since the 1960's, nonetheless, famed poet, playwright & activist Amiri Baraka will bless Houston with his presence next Sat, Jun 9th at 8:15pm at The Miller Outdoor Theatre. This is a FREE event!
The author of over 40 books from essays, poems, drama, music history & criticism, Amiri Baraka is a poet icon & revolutionary political activist who has recited his works everywhere from the USA, the Caribbean, Africa, & Europe.
Produced by SEHAH & Amandla Productions, which is dedicated to exposing our young folk to the Kings & Queens of Spoken Word, will be showcasing local emerging artists as well.
