Greetings

I know no one will probably even take the time to read this but I'm going to send it anyways.

My wife and I stayed at a Fort Worth Marriott a couple weeks back.
The Fort Worth Courtyard Marriott on Riverfront Drive.

My wife left her earrings in our room after we left our stay. Upon going back only an hour later they were gone. The earrings were a very special engagement gift that had a great deal of sentimental value!

We reported the incident to the police, the hotel management and even went as far as mailing and talking with the CEO's office, Bill Marriott, in Washington, D.C. Our issue was handed over to Marriott Claims who quickly closed the matter and told us we should have used the hotel safe.

I find that absurd and very disheartening. Yes, I agree we should have used their safe. However because they are protected legally do the rights of their guests get pushed aside? So now any member of the cleaning crew (if someone on the cleaning crew actually took our item) can take whatever they find because the hotel has no recourse?

Needless to say we are at a "dead-end" and no one at the hotel will do anything about it. I'm hurt and will continue to publish my story until something is done about this incident.
