Dallas Steakhouses: Dakota's

Upon visiting North Texas, one requirement is to eat somewhere that serves incredible steak. The top of the line include Bob's Steak & Chop House, Chamberlin's, Ruth Chris Steakhouse, and Houston's. Having eaten at all those, however, there is one that is not only a cut above, but has the atmosphere and setting to really carry it off. If you can find it! The best steak in Dallas can be ...

Studio Movie Grill: Arlington's Best Movie Theatre

Studio Movie Grill opened its newest location here in Arlington in January 2007. It's located in the new Arlington Highlands Shopping Center (on the North side of I-20, the Matlock exit is a good bet). Just down the highway from The Parks at Arlington, the center is huge; Studio Movie Grill is on the far East side of the shopping area. If you see a huge PetSmart, BJ's Restaurant, and ...

Campo Verde: The Best Crazy Mexican Food in Arlington

To say that Campo Verde has a festive atmosphere is putting it mildly. Near the intersection of Bowen and Pioneer Parkway (the address is 2918 W. The restaurant was started by two New York transplants, and they only use authentic ingredients ordered from New York. This pizza is the real deal. Also they garlic ...

Skip on over to Arlington for a little star gazing!

The Dallas Cowboys are moving to Arlington, TX in 2009. This means the boys from Dallas will technically be closer to Fort Worth than Dallas. The next few posts will be dedicated to cool things you can do in Arlington.

How about a visit to the largest planetarium in Texas? At the University of Texas at Arlington you can catch a fun, but educational show.  During Feb. ...

Not Your Typical Library!

The Library

When on vacation, visiting relatives, or just hanging out in Downtown, one would think the Library would be the last place you would want to go. Unfortunately this person would be very wrong. Anytime I am in Fort Worth I make it a point to stop in for a drink at The Library. Located on 611 Houston St., this bar is conveniently ...

The Garden of Eatin'

A few months ago my friend, Amy, took me to the legendary Joe T. Garcia's Restaurant in Fort Worth. The restaurant relies mainly on word of mouth for adverstiment so unless you are a native to DFW then you may never have heard of Joe T's.

Joe T. Garcia's has been a popular eatery since 1935 when the Garcias opened their home to customers. Since then the ...
