The live music capitol would not be the same with out Stubb's BBQ restaurant and amphitheatre. Located at 801 Red River smack in downtown Austin it hosts everything from gospel to good ol' rock and roll. A long time favorite for locals and visitors alike you're missing the heart of the austin live music scene if you pass this one up.

Alamo Drafthouse

The Alamo Drafthouse is probably one of the most fun places to visit in Austin. You can go for a regular movie or you can show up for a singalong or special event. They have everything here, even food.

Native Austinites like myself have long known the sign of ...

Pete's Piano Bar is always a good time!

Pete's Piano Bar

As an old year closes and a new year begins, it seems only right to review one of my favorite places to hang out in downtown Austin.  Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar.  I have never been to Pete’s and said to myself after words…..”You know I didn’t have a good time.

This great concept is not only located in Austin but conveniently in other ...

New Years Plans? How about First Night Austin!

With the Holidays almost over I can’t help but reflect on what will be looked upon as a “Great Year.” Since my Birthday falls on the 2nd of January I find that going out New Years just isn’t as much fun as it could be for this “almost” 26 year old blogger.

Being new to Austin, I hoped that I could find something that would intrigue my spontaneous side and ...
