Great little shop, new things to see, something new to try out in Arlington.
Ok, if you havn't driven down Main St. in Arlington lately your missing a treasure of a shop. Collected Treasures, 406 W. Main St., "specializes in romantic and cottage-style antiques".
It's a rather large shop, 3,000 square ft., full of "hand-painted antique lamps, 1930s wedding dresses, Greta Garbo-ish hatboxes, 1920s bird cages, plus there's an ancient manual Remington typewriter once owned by legendary TV weatherman Harold Taft, now long deceased". Now if that isn't a find in itself...wow. She even has a website, www.collectedtreasures.com. Come down and see it along with the many other shops that are there and coming soon. Downtown Arlington is coming "back"!

Have you been to the public library lately? Arlington now has a total of 5 locations spread out around town. Currently another is being built in S.W. Arlington off of Green Oaks opening this summer. The library is not just a place to go and rent books, music, or movies anymore. You can go and use computers to search the internet, or take computer training courses and even take classes to learn how to play chess. They have story time set up for small children, movies times for teens, workshops on writing, anime, and much more for all ages. Go check out the site to learn more information on any of these things.
