Although drinks are served in plastic cups and the decor is kind of honky-tonk Tin Roof is a pretty big sexy singles scene. Push-up bras, popped collars, Juicy jeans, and Ray Ban aviators abound amidst the seemingly endless stream of Budweisers and Jagger bombs.
Most mingling occurs at the front of the bar, which is furnished with booths inside and tables on the patio. Live bands play on a stage in the back of the bar. There is a semi-regular line-up and rarely a cover later on in the evening.
Tin Roof is mostly full of post-college students still clinging to the keg cup, but you will find a few rockin'-and-rollin' baby boomers as well. The crowd tends to get tight on most nights, but if you can snag a table on the patio you can enjoy the energy without having to dodge flailing cigarettes and elbows.
The bartenders are friendly, fast, and pour a strong cocktail.
Towards the end of the night, things can get a bit sloppy with big guys stumbling into Hummer limos, girls tripping in their stilletos, and the occasional slurred confrontation. But overall, Tin Roof is a plain ol' good time peppered with a bit of sweat, Polo Sport, and cigarette smoke.
