Hillsboro Village coolest place in Nashville?

Hillsoboro Village is the best unkept secret of Nashville. The approximately six square block area has Cafes, Coffee shops, Microbrewery, Sports Bars, Clothing Stores, Furniture Stores and even the obligatory Art Film Theater. The Gulch or East Nashville (other trendy locals in Nashville) have a few high points but Hillsboro Village (which starts on the intersection of 21st Ave. South & Wedgewood and ends at 21st Ave. South & Fairfax Avenue) has the range. Whether it's aspiring Country Artists eating at the Pancake Pantry or noted Film Makers sucking down Mocha Java at Fido's Coffee, the Bohemes and Power People come to Hillsboro to eat, drink and play without being noticed or hassled. One day there might be a Fund Raiser for John McCain and few days later a Film Festival. Hillsboro Village reminds me a bit of Sunset Strip (in some sections) or certain neighborhoods of NYC. In the next few blogs we will go mano a mano with the various entities that reside in Hillosboro Village to give you a no holds barred view of this quite interesting area of Nashville. It may not be pretty but it will be real. Till the next post, live well, Jarboe
