Nashville Screen Writer’s Conference 2007
Next weekend (June 1-3) the 9th Annual Screen Writer's Conference takes place in the Union Station Hotel in downtown Nashville.
Karen Murphy, producer of such wonderful films as "Best in Show", "This is Spinal Tap," and "Waiting for Guffman", inspired and created The Nashville Screen Writer's Conference in 1999 with the help of businessman Gary Haber of the Haber Corporation.
This year's conference is titled "The Year of Truth and Lies." The three-day panels include information on how to write for documentaries, conversations about plot, genre and characters, as well as a few sneak peeks at upcoming TV events.
On Friday night (June1), a preview of the HBO series "Big Love" will appear in the Belcourt Theater. On Saturday night (June 2), Holly Hunter's new TNT series "Saving Grace" will be shown and producer, Nancy Miller, as well as the Vice President of TNT, Michael Wright, will answer questions after the viewing.
Unfortunately, early registration has ended, but you can register online and there is also walk-up registration.
Registration times are:
Thursday May 31 5pm-8pm
Friday June 1 8am-5pm
Saturday June 2 7 am-12pm
