Bobby’s Dairy Dip: Good Treats
Bobby's Dairy Dip is the ultimate ice-cream stop. Bobby's is a walk-up burger joint that serves the traditional burgers and fries, but its specialty is ice cream. Only open for the summer, Bobby's is always busy, especially during the weekends. Lines can stretch down the sidewalk, but the wait is well worth it.
The burgers and fries are extremely good--the ice cream is even better. They serve ice cream dipped in several different flavors, swirlies (which is similar to a Sonic Blast or Dairy Queen Blizzard), milk shakes and of course banana splits. They have an item called "The Whole Kitchen Sink," which can feed an entire family. Bobby's also offers unique flavors every once in a while (such as peppermint ice-cream).
Prices are reasonable, but if you're going to Bobby's with several people, the tab can get pretty high. But it's all worth a nice, refreshing ice cream in the summer time.
Bobby's is located on Charlotte Ave., and is close to the interstate-Map Quest for directions.
The store is small. But if you keep an eye out for a packed parking lot, you’re sure to find it.
