When people visit Myrtle Beach, they usually want to have at least one meal at a waterfront restaurant. Here are some great ones listed in alphabetical order:

This new and luxurious restaurant is warm with jewel-like pastels and sun streaming in from windows offering a second-floor oceanfront view. It is located in the Prince Resort at Cherry Grove Pier and features the cuisine of Executive Chef Randy Herndon. His dishes include Jumbo Lump Crab "Martini" with watermelon ganache and a light citrus yuzu-soy dressing; the restaurant's signature dish Steak Prince, which features a six-ounce filet mignon surrounded by enormous shrimp and scallops cooked in a light and creamy white wine sauce and served with the chef's spectacular Southern Fried Green Tomatoes. The restaurant also serves spectacular breakfasts.
Baker Street Gill & Grill

If you like little out-of-the-way spots with beautiful views, Baker Street Gill & Grill fits the criteria. The eatery is on the second floor of a building at Cricket Cove Marina and has indoor and outdoor seating. It's open for lunch and dinner - they have daily specials during both meals - and the menu offers a variety of dishes. The Backened Salmon Caesar Salad is great, and you can have a Top Sirloin or Ribeye steak topped with gorgonzola butter, tomato-basil butter, or lemon-herb butter. In the seafood department there are Grilled Grouper, Tomato-basil Salmon, Tuna Steak, Mahi-Mahi, Grilled Shrimp and a Fried Shrimp Platter. If you're in the mood for a sandwich, some of the choices are crab cake, grouper, French Dip, Chili Dogs and burgers.

The old Dave's was torn down to make way for this new upscale waterfront haven. A high-tech grill allows for superbly cooked meats and succulent sushi-grade seafood. Southern Living magazine recommended the bacon-wrapped scallops.
