The Best View in Pittsburgh
I'm going to let you in on a big secret that only a hard core Pittsburgher like me would know. The very best view of Pittsburgh is not Grandview Avenue but rather the West End Overlook. It's a little tricky to get to but trust me, it is the most exciting way to see the panorama of our great city.
To get to the overlook go down Carson Street on the SouthSide past Station Square and follow the signs to the West End Bridge. Turn onto Steuben Street. At the second stop sign turn right onto Chartiers Ave. Turn right on Lorenz Ave. and follow it up to the crest of the mountain.
From this vantage point you will see the most amazing view of the Pittsburgh Point and all of the North Side. I promise it will take your breath away.
