The Khyber: A Great Place To Hear Local Music

The Khyber, a bar located on 56 S. 2nd Street in Olde City, is a cool place to hear what is going on in the Philadelphia music scene today.  There is no cover charge "ever", and there are plenty of cool drink specials.  Current bands making their way to the Khyber include The Flithy 42's, performing today at 8pm.  Tickets are $8. Other bands performing soon at the Khyber include Little Light, The Clamor, Kameelah Waheed and Government Cheese.  Iggy Pop has even played at The Khyber!thekhyber2.jpg

Happy Hour is from 5-8 pm, with drink specials including $2 pints of Yards, $2 domestic bottles, and $1 off everything else.  There are 11 beers on tap, most of which are specialty beers.thekyhber.jpg

DJs also come to spin at the Khyber, and the drink specials during shows include ones like "$10 For All You Can Drink".   For a complete list of upcoming shows, what musical genre the acts playing at The Khyber fall into, band reviews,  and how to buy tickets, visit www.thekhyber.comthekyhber3.jpg
