If you are looking for really ridiculously good German food for really ridiculously cheap prices then Gustav's Happy Hour is the way to go!
Gustav's also has excellent ambiance and stellar service!
I am addicted to their Swiss Cheese Fondue (only $3.99) and there is none that can rival their Happy Shepherd's Pie ($3.99 as well).
They have five convenient locations: Clackamas, PDX Airport, Portland, Vancouver and Washington Square.
Hours:

La Calaca Comelona or The Hungry Skeleton in English is by far the only authentic Mexican restaurant I've been to in Portland, OR.
Their food and beverages are nothing short of exceptional. I chose the Torta Asada and a Tropicana. They were both packed with flavor and very generous portion wise. Whether you decide to sit inside or out, the atmosphere is spacious and decorative.
They are open ...

If you feel like braving the crowds or happen to be out shopping downtown check out the Festival of Flowers (one of the many Rose Festival Events) at Pioneer Courthouse Square. The installation this year is called "circles squared" and it's comprised of about 20,000 flowers and plants. The event is free and you can walk amongst the installation and smell the roses!
I highly recommend taking the Max train downtown ...

Having lived in Portland for almost twenty years I finally got around to taking a trip down the Willamette in one of those super fun tourist jet boats. My beau and I took the two-hour excursion and I highly recommend it. It runs from North Portland all the way down to the Oregon City falls. Along the way we saw great blue herons, eagles, osprey nests, turkey ...

Step aside Old Spaghetti Factory and Olive Garden, hello Pastini Pastaria! A friend of mine is addicted to this place. He took me and another friend out to dinner a few evenings ago and now we crave their food as well. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the prices are ridiculously wallet friendly. Whether you are a carnivore, a vegetarian, or a seafood ...

If you love to dance and you love Michael Jackson but you also love Prince and his sexy little heels hoof it to Berbati's (10 SW 3rd) this Sunday, May 27 @ 9 P.M. Rumor has it that this is a battle of the DJs but my guess is that if you simply can't choose a side the good folks at Berbati will still let you in. Don't forget to ...

"Portland: America's new coffee capital?" This was the question posed by Zach Dundas in the October 11th, 2006 edition of the Willamette Week, but in this land of coffee, there also exists a world of tea. Townshend's Alberta Street Tea House is by far the best bar in Portland, OR. The best tea bar that is. The tea guide is very ...

Living in Portland, it seems unnatural, almost even inconceivable to dislike coffee, but it's true, I have never really been a fan of that small brown bean which is as gold to some who live here. That is until I discovered Albina Press. Never have I experienced a beverage this smooth and dreamy. Their mingling of Stumptown coffee beans and milk ...

The Fresh Pot Coffeehouse on 4001 N Mississippi Ave (the charming corner of N Miss and Shaver in the historic Mississippi neighborhood) is an excellent spot for coffee, espresso, working on your laptop or just plain old people watching. Rows of wooden tables are lined up inside, the free wifi is often utilized by the abundance of laptops, and new (actually good) art by local artists hangs on the ...
