I literally stumbled upon this fantastic little bar last night in SE Portland! The main room with the bar was lit about like a night-light illuminates a room and as you walk further back it's nearly like a cave with some scattered candles and couches. Board games are stacked in the corner and on Sundays you can enter a spelling bee or trivia contest ...

BBQ food: $35
wine: $5
charcoal: $5
playing Kings in the park with penis cards: priceless
On Friday night, my friends put a birthday tiara on me and took me all about town for some mayhem. We started out at Wallace Park in NW Portland with a BBQ (we are so classy that we carried our BBQ to the park) and then kinda-sorta joined another birthday group (because ...

Step aside Old Spaghetti Factory and Olive Garden, hello Pastini Pastaria! A friend of mine is addicted to this place. He took me and another friend out to dinner a few evenings ago and now we crave their food as well. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the prices are ridiculously wallet friendly. Whether you are a carnivore, a vegetarian, or a seafood ...

I made my first visit to the Bridgeport Brewing Company last week. I went to last Thursday night's Haymaker Pale Ale release party and had myself a grand 'ol time. (Were any of you there?) The brewery has been making their own beer for almost 25 years now. Opening in 1984, Bridgeport has 8 of their own beers on tap. ...

Located at 6850 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy, Thai Roses Cusine is one of my favorite Thai resturants in Portland. For special occasions (and Sunday-night dinner is definitely a special occasion) my roommate and I have been known to order our Thai food and have it delivered (for free!) to our house.
Tonight the roommate ordered Pad Thai with tofu and I had Pad See Ew ...

"Portland: America's new coffee capital?" This was the question posed by Zach Dundas in the October 11th, 2006 edition of the Willamette Week, but in this land of coffee, there also exists a world of tea. Townshend's Alberta Street Tea House is by far the best bar in Portland, OR. The best tea bar that is. The tea guide is very ...

Living in Portland, it seems unnatural, almost even inconceivable to dislike coffee, but it's true, I have never really been a fan of that small brown bean which is as gold to some who live here. That is until I discovered Albina Press. Never have I experienced a beverage this smooth and dreamy. Their mingling of Stumptown coffee beans and milk ...

The Fresh Pot Coffeehouse on 4001 N Mississippi Ave (the charming corner of N Miss and Shaver in the historic Mississippi neighborhood) is an excellent spot for coffee, espresso, working on your laptop or just plain old people watching. Rows of wooden tables are lined up inside, the free wifi is often utilized by the abundance of laptops, and new (actually good) art by local artists hangs on the ...
