The Centennial Grand Floral Parade

Yesterday I had the immense pleasure of being a part of Portland's Centennial Grand Floral Parade with the Beatles float. I was a groupie, dressed to the nines in my sixties gear and I had a BLAST. Portland's Festival of Flowers


If you feel like braving the crowds or happen to be out shopping downtown check out the Festival of Flowers (one of the many Rose Festival Events) at Pioneer Courthouse Square.  The installation this year is called "circles squared" and it's comprised of about 20,000 flowers and plants.  The event is free and you can walk amongst the installation and smell the roses!

I highly recommend taking the Max train downtown ...

First Thursday Art Walk April 5


It is nice sunny warm spring day, perfect for walking around downtown and in the Pearl looking at art. Some suggestions are: Attic Gallery at its new pearl location 539 NW 10th. Spring Beer & Wine Fest 2007


This Friday and Saturday at the Oregon Convention Center is the Spring Beer and Wine Fest. There will be over 16 wineries, 40 brewers, and four distillers at the show. There is a smoker’s lounge in an outdoor heated tent. Cascade Cigar Co. will sell premium cigars, tobacco and smoker's accessories. Paul deLay Memorial Concert
