See Portland by jet boat

Having lived in Portland for almost twenty years I finally got around to taking a trip down the Willamette in one of those super fun tourist jet boats. My beau and I took the two-hour excursion and I highly recommend it. It runs from North Portland all the way down to the Oregon City falls. Along the way we saw great blue herons, eagles, osprey nests, turkey vultures and real live fishermen! (One of whom was our pilot's brother).

While we passed many beautiful homes on the river the houseboats really piqued my interest. Some of them look like they are about to disintegrate in the next storm while others are quite lovely and really well constructed.

Prepare to get a little wet when the pilot does the old spinaroo!
