Bush Quietly Raises Money For McCain
President Bush (web|news|bio) is expected to help raise 1 million dollars at a private fund-raiser in Oklahoma City today.
The president attended a luncheon at the home of beer distributor John Cresap where supporters paid a minimum of $1,000 per person.
Couples wanting a photo taken with Bush paid $5,000 and those wanting to go to a private reception with the president laid down $25,000.
The money will benefit Republican presidential nominee John McCain (web|news|bio) and other GOP candidates.
A Republican official speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak for the McCain campaign said about 1 million dollars would be raised at the event.
