Nights of Fire: A Skytower Spectacular, a one of kind fireworks display, returns to Carowinds on July 4th. I finally made it out to the Body Worlds exhibition this weekend, and it was amazing. One of our fellow bloggers already wrote about it, but I couldn't help but mention how amazing the exhibition really was. From the Tai Chi man to the horse corpse to the woman with her baby still inside of her womb, it was one of the most impressive and moving exhibitions I've ever seen. ...

Charlotte's annual July 4th event is long on the Family Fun this year with family-friendly activities from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The event is alcohol-free but there will be food and soft drinks on sale.

Latta Plantation is a historic site offering visitors a glimpse into the history of Mecklenburg county. This two story federalist style home was built in 1800 by James Latta. He raised three of his daughters at the site and all three girls recieved a formal education.
