Would you give your body to science?
I'm talking about the Body World exhibit at Discover Place located in uptown Charlotte. The exhibit officially opened the 13th of June--I highly recommend it. Even if you're not fascinated by science or art, you will be intrigued by this. After all, they are real bodies, ya know?!
So I did a bit of research and apparently our Charlotte exhibit, as fascinating as it is, lacks quite a few specimens. Tokyo holds the honors of having displayed the original exhibit in 1995. Across seas on display was a plasticized woman, at 8 months pregnant with her unborn fetus. Tragic, yes. But still fascinating.
Ever seen Casino Royale? Great movie. It also included clips of an exhibit in Miami.
