Mykonos Cafe

Mykonos Cafe Logo

Mykonos Cafe, located in Winton Place in Brighton, New York, just minutes from downtown Rochester, is a 24-hour diner with a mixture of typical diner fare as well as Mediterranean favorites.

Formerly located in the hip, urban Village Gate, Mykonos moved to their new location in 2005 and reinvented itself as a 24-hour restaurant, serving standard breakfast-through-dinner dinner food as well as Greek cuisine, making it an easy place to eat with a family that may include finicky children.

A recent trip to Mykonos confirmed that the food is decent, if not extraordinary. A children's menu includes perennial kid favorites like hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, and grilled cheese, and include fries, a drink, and a dessert item. For the grown-ups, a large selection of sandwiches, salads, wraps, pitas, and Greek favorites makes up the varied menu, as well as breakfast items available around the clock.

The food is decent, if not extraordinary, with average portion sizes and fair prices. The desserts are excellent, and will tempt you from the display case when you enter the restaurant. Mykonos also features a full bar and daily specials. Even with the bar, however, the restaurant is very family-friendly, with coloring pages and crayons available for little ones, as well as high chairs and boosters.

Mykonos is located in the middle of a plaza called Winton Place, near two major expressways. Reservations are recommended on weekends, and outdoor dining is avaialable, weather permitting. Mykonos is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and also has a full takeout menu available.
