Times Square Rally for Yankees World Series - Today, Oct. 28, at 12:30!
The New York Yankees are set to begin their quest for another World Series title Wednesday night, and the city is holding a pep rally to get people revved up! See the official Web site for details on the Yankees Times Square rally, but here are the basics:
* Location and time: The Yankees Pep Rally will be held on Broadway between 44th Street and 45th Street at 12:30 PM.
* NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg will be there, as will Michael Kay, who does Yankees play to play on the YES Network.
* The press release says "weather permitting," but as of 10:30 a.m. the rally is ON. Check the Web site above for the latest updates.
* The first game of the World Series is set for 7:57 p.m. tonight, shown on Fox TV (channel 5 in the New York area). The weather forecast calls for light rain, but as always the weather is unpredictable.
