New York City Transit Fares Going Up June 28th



It's the end of the line for the $2.00 subway and bus fare: the one-way price for an NYC Transit ride goes up to $2.25 up at 12:01 Sunday morning, June 28th. If you're going out Saturday night, there's a chance you'll be paying one fare going out and another coming back.

Fares are also going up at the same time for Long Island Bus and the Staten Island Railway.

Here are the new prices for unlimited ride MetroCards:
One-day unlimited card will go from $7.50 to $8.25
Seven-day unlimited card: goes from $25 to 27
14-day unlimited card: goes from $47 to $51.50
30-day unlimited card: goes from $81 to $89
