FREE Movies in Bryant Park for Summer 2009
Despite the recession, free movies in New York City's Bryant Park are back for the summer of 2009! The NewYorkology.com Web site has a listing of the films that are part of the Bryant Park movie series this year, which as always will be on Monday nights during the season. (The site also has links to some free movies that will be shown in Brooklyn's Prospect Park as part of the Celebrate Brooklyn series.)
The movies in Bryant Park this summer range from oldies such as Gold Diggers of 1933 and The Magnificent Seven to more recent classics such as The Sting, Breaking Away, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Bryant Park is at 6th Avenye (Avenue of the Americas) between 40th and 42nd Streets, behind the main branch of the New York Public Library.
