The Hoboken St. Patrick's Day Parade is one of the most anticipated in all the New York area, attracting spectators from New York City and from all around the NY Metro area. This year's Hoboken parade will take place on Saturday, March 7th, 2009, and here is some key information you'll want to know if you're interested in attending the parade.

The 2009 Hoboken St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 1 p.m. at the north end of town, specifically 14th and Washington Streets, and travels south on Washington. The parade, which will take approximately one hour, ends a little past the reviewing stand in front of Hoboken City Hall at 1st and Washington Streets.

There is no shortage of bars in Hoboken, and they will start filling up at 8 a.m. In particular, a number of Irish bars near the end of the parade route at the south end of town will be especially busy. Some of these Irish bars:
The Shannon Lounge - 106 First St.
O'Donoghue's - 205 First St.
Mulligan's - 159 First St.
Duffy's Irish Pub - 239 Bloomfield St.
Onieal's - 343 Park Ave.
