The 2008 U.S. Open is On NOW... Check Scores and Matches
If you can't be at the 2008 U.S. Open tennis tournament, at least you can follow the action live online. The official U.S. Open Web site, www.usopen.org, has live, updating scores; schedules of play, profiles and biographies of the players, and plenty of photos and videos.
It should be a very interesting tournament, with the once-indestructible Roger Federer seemingly in a bit of a slump, and having slid down to the number two position in the world rankings and in seeding at the U.S. Open.
On the women's side, Maria Sharapova is out with an injury and Serbian Jelena Jankovic has been playing shaky tennis in recent tournaments, so she's not a sure thing for the title. The Williams sisters have been looking strong of late, but they can be inconsistent from match to match.
So, it's a wide-open tournament. There are still U.S. Open tickets available, so if you're interested in going, by all means check out the site above. The USA network will be televising a lot of the action.
