Free Live Music & Dancing Under the Stars
If you're in New York and you like to dance to live music, check out the MoonDance series at Hudson River Park on the West Side. It's free on Sunday nights from mid-July to mid-August, and takes place on the Park's Pier 54, on the Hudson River at 14th Street.
This is a cool chance to dance under the stars, on the waterfront, with the lights of the City visible as you dance around with your partner.
There's a live band to dance to each week, including swing, salsa, and tango, so you'll have plenty of accompaniment to get you up and hopping.
If your dance skills are a little rusty (or nonexistent), that's no problem. MoonDance offers dance lessons starting at 6:30pm, with the live band taking the stage at 7pm.
