One of the great sculptors of our times, Richard Serra is famous for his unque and inspiring work, which emphasizes materiality and an emotional interplay between the viewer, the site, and the work.
This exhibition presents the artist's forty-year career, from his first experiments with substances such as rubber, neon, and lead to gargantuan later works, such as Intersection II and Torqued Ellipse IV, along with three new works that haven't been exhibited before.
The sculptures are on view throughout the Museum and in The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.
