Happening Friday, September 28

Take your wallet because this one costs $100 per person but if it fits in your travel budget, this is a great food event. The wines are from Black Mesa Vineyards in Velarde, New Mexico and their wines are exceptional.

The event will be at the Spa's Blue Heron Restaurant where the food is natural, organic and local. At this special event they'll offer six courses ...

Santa Fe's Cozy, Affordable Aztec Cafe

Yep, the Aztec Cafe is on Aztec Street.

This little cafe and comfort stop is a bit off the plaza, so pay attention here. Aztec is a street that runs between Guadalupe and Sandoval Streets. If you use the plaza as a starting point you can get there by taking West San Francisco off the plaza going west a couple of blocks where you'll run into Sandoval Street. Turning left ...

Visit the Atomic Grill in Santa Fe

This is one fun restaurant, just a block south of the plaza on Water Street (103 E.) adjacent to Pasqual's and The Hemp store. It's comfortable, offers patio as well as inside dining and most items on their menu come in under $10. It's pretty much American food with local New Mexican fare thrown in. Be sure to check out their mosaic tiled wood oven ...

Relaxing at Santa Fe's French Pastry Shop & /Creperie

Directly adjacent to the La Fonda Hotel and just up the street from the labyrinth at the Cathedral on East San Francisco Street is Santa Fe's tantalizing French Pastry Shop.

It's small and intimate, filled with round wooden tables and dark rich wood.

Upon entering the tantalizing and rich aroma of freshly baked, sinfully delicious treats envelops you. Their offerings can vary a bit ...

Santa Fe's Fantastic Pizza

There are several exceptional pizza places in Santa Fe, but the hands down favorite time after time is Upper Crust.

They've been there since 1979 right on Old Santa Fe Trail a couple of blocks off the Plaza.

Begin on the Plaza, follow Old Santa Fe Trail South past La Fonda Hotel, jog slightly left and walk a block past Inn At Loretto, cross Alameda ...

There it is, breakfast fresh and quick.  And speaking of quick, they offer to have it ready if you call ahead and want to grab ...

Santa Fe's Bumble Bee's BaJa Grill is Buzzing - food for the Veggie and Non-Veggie!

My favorite Bumble Bee's is on Jefferson downtown right off Guadalupe. It's only a few blocks from the plaza and walking distance from anywhere downtown. Great food and fast service. It has a clean, bright eat-in restaurant and a small patio. It's also locally owned with two Bumble Bee's in Santa Fe and two in Albuquerque.

In a hurry? You can get drive-through in ...

Burrito Company Cafe in Santa Fe - cheap, clean good and quick!

Here it is, one of our favorites: The Burrito Company
It's been around in one incarnation or another for about 22 years.  It's affordable, it's clean, service is quick and friendly.  What more could you ask?

Located right downtown just off the Plaza it serves traditional, spicy New Mexican fare as well as sandwiches, salads, espresso drinks, beer and wine. They even have a Salsa bar.  Located at ...

La Choza - One of Santa Fe's Best New Mexican Restaurants

Located at 905 Alarid just kitty-corner across Cerrillos Road and the railroad tracks from Whole Foods, La Choza is a prime place to go when you're looking for some green chili, red chili, or the blend of the two known as Christmas. It has parking (hey that can be a big deal in Santa Fe) and a comfy, homey atmosphere.  ...
