Relaxing at Santa Fe's French Pastry Shop & /Creperie

Directly adjacent to the La Fonda Hotel and just up the street from the labyrinth at the Cathedral on East San Francisco Street is Santa Fe's tantalizing French Pastry Shop.

It's small and intimate, filled with round wooden tables and dark rich wood.

Upon entering the tantalizing and rich aroma of freshly baked, sinfully delicious treats envelops you. Their offerings can vary a bit so it's best to head on up to the bakery case and see what's available. Then choose a table - there are some near the windows facing the street for people watching if you like.

In addition to wonderful pastry creations the shop offers light lunches by way of soups and sandwiches and breakfast treats such as crepes. They also have a crepe wrapped ice cream by way of an afternoon treat. With a cup of aromatic coffee it's great. And, while you're there, if you want to order a fun, animal-shaped loaf of bread to be picked up the next day for a fragrant feast in your room, they have those too!  The favorite so far seems to be the alligator.

A quiet, relaxing place to kick back, enjoy a bite and ruminate on your most recent treading of the labyrinth.
