Santa Fe's 86th Annual Indian Market - the Last Word

There are a couple of things I forgot to mention in my last post.

First - there are lots of other things to take in while here for the Market.  Many galleries have openings and special shows worth seeing.  If you can spare the time, don't pass them up.  Just wander the adjacent streets or go up Canyon Road for some really special treats.  Santa Fe has some really wonderful 'non-Indian' art in addition to the Native American artisans produce.

Second - Remember what I said in my previous posting about it could be hot?  Well, if it rains it could also be very cool.  Not a huge possiblity, but please be prepared.  I've seen the temperature drop 30 degrees in minutes if a good storm moves in.  You could find yourself suddenly drenched by a shower and the air temperature about 60 degrees under the right circumstances.  This is more likely in the late afternoon or early evening but be warned, it can happen.

Third - this is a really big event and Santa Fe will be very crowded.  If possible I highly recommend eating meals a little off the regular time.  Restaurants are going to be crammed; waits can be very long.

All that said, enjoy the market!
