Santa Fe's Only Five and Dime

Yes, Santa Fe still has it's very own Five & Dime, and it's right on the plaza, San Francisco Street side. It's a small corner of a former Woolworth's.
There's a cooler with cold drinks for a hot day, postcards, lots of tourist kitch and a small lunch counter at the back that serves 'world famous' Frito Pies.
Now a Frito Pie, in case you don't know already, is a wonderful concoction consisting of a split open bag of Frito chips topped with chile, onions and cheese. Great for a snack or a light lunch and right there on the plaza so you can either grab a seat inside if we're blessed with one of our afternoon monsoon downpours or you can take your gourmet treasure out to a bench on the shady plaza and enjoy.
Check out the Five & Dime if you've forgotten your toothpaste or shampoo as well.
