Bien Mur Indian Market Center is an Albuquerque Landmark

Shopping for authentic Native American jewelry, pottery, rugs, kachinas, paintings, and folk art in the kiva shaped showroom of the Sandia Pueblo Bien Mur Indian Market Center is an Albuquerque experience that is not to be missed.  Bien Mur means "Big Mountain" in Tiwa, for the Sandia Mountain range that gave the tribe it's name.  As a tribal-owned enterprise, Bien Mur is dedicated to supporting Native American artists.

Ooh! Aah! Jewelry, an Albquerque Gem

Shopping in Albuquerque is a treat, in part because of unusual and original stores like our own Ooh! Aah! Jewelry.  I go to this boutique for both gifts and to meet my own need to sparkle and shine on occasion.

They have a wide range of original designs in sterling silver and gold paired with semiprecious gems, and wonderfully whimsical, colorful crystal earrings that cry out to be taken home.  Add to ...

Santa Ana Star Center

There is so much to do in Albuquerque. Last night, I watched the sun glow on the Sandia Mountains from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. The facility seats about 5000, or so, and the Scorpions play there. It has a comfortable elevator and VIP lounges.
It is like a miniature Tingley Coliseum, which seats 12,000.
It has a traffic control system that seems to utilize ...
